**Calling all Gold Coast unsuspecting dance stars**
Are you a secret or not so secret dancing hero?
Do you know someone who carves up the dance floor at the family backyard BBQ?
Bleach* Festival and local performance collective Everybody NOW, are on the search for the Gold Coast’s unsuspecting dancing stars – extraordinary everyday people; all with very different, unique and glorious ways of expressing themselves through dance.
It’s all part of a new large-scale public dance project, produced by Bleach* Festival to premiere at Festival 2018, part of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The project, which is top secret for now, will see ten dancing heroes and an ensemble hundreds of locals, work with two choreographers to create the newest dance sensations, to hit the streets of the Gold Coast, or let’s face it, the world!

We are collecting expressions of interest from people who want to get involved.
No formal dance experience is necessary. We are looking for Gold Coaster’s of ALL ages, backgrounds and dancing interests from bricklayers to baristas, schoolteachers to surfers, mums and dads, grans and great grans.
It’s a truly participatory, inclusive and joyful project that explores what it means to truly be free in your body, totally immersed in the music, the movement and the moment.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED …

- Come along to Free Public Workshops and Dance Jams to learn some moves and meet the Everybody NOW team!
JOIN THE ENSEMBLE
Ensemble members will be invited to dance workshops in March 2018 to learn the project’s signature moves. You will become the dance champions with the show, dancing yourself and encouraging the audiences to get involved too. Ensemble members can nominate to be a part of multiple performances or select one night.
PUT YOUR DANCING HAND IN THE AIR TO BE ONE OF TEN CORE PERFORMERS
Ten dancing heroes selected and will be required for several rehearsals leading into the performances plus the performance dates themselves during the Commonwealth Games period of 4 -15 April 2018. You would work with the choreographers to create new dances that are based on YOUR signature style of movement.
